SGM Guiding Stars Welcome Letter

The following letter is to be used by SGM Guiding Stars as a guide to send an informative welcome letter to the new stars that are assigned to them by Guiding Star Team Leader - Pat (GPR) . Please note that all welcome letters sent to new stars should be CC'ed to Pat (GPR)
In addition, please note that the letter below is only to serve as a GUIDE for the Guiding Stars, and should not be quoted verbatim into a letter sent to a new sister. Each letter should be written personally by the Guiding Star, not an impersonal form letter.

Furthermore, it is very important that all Guiding Stars check back here periodically for additions and changes to the Guiding Stars Form Letter, as it sometimes updates. If you send a welcome letter to a new star, you should check this form letter FIRST to make sure the information is current and correct.

When using the letter below as a guide for sending a welcome letter to a new star, each Guiding Star should please remember to "fill in the blanks" of the letter. They are highlighted in a different color from the rest of the letter. Also, please note that the SUBJECT LINE in a SGM Guiding Star Welcome Letter should always be "SGM Guiding Stars, NAME" (please remember to personalize the letter by changing the word "NAME" in the subject line to the NAME of the Guiding Star the letter is being sent to as well as filling in all areas written in YELLOW in this letter to your personal information).

If you have any further questions regarding this letter, or the SGM Guiding Star Program, please address your inquiries or comments to the Pat (GPR). As always, we welcome any additions you think might be wise to add to the form letter as well, so please feel free to write and give us some of your personal techniques for addressing your own Guiding Stars.

GUIDING STAR WELCOME LETTER

Dear NAME,

My name is NAME and I am to be your SGM Guiding Star for the next 2 weeks. My job is to help you become not only comfortable in our wonderful group, but to be there for you on any matter. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at any stage. That is what I'm here for! My e-mail address is E-MAIL, and my ICQ number (if you have it) is ICQ #.

4. SCRIBE SCROLLS: Are you literarily creative? Do you write poetry, short stories or deep thoughts? Then check out the Scribe Scrolls, an online conglomeration of original written works by our star sisters.
